Pune : In a remarkable initiative to support young aspirants dreaming of serving the nation, the Government of Maharashtra has announced a free pre-selection training program for officer entry into the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. This intensive training will be held from May 5 to May 14, 2025, at the Pre-Cadet Training Centre (PCTC), Nashik Road, Nashik.
The course aims to prepare eligible candidates for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews, which are mandatory for recruitment to officer-level posts in the Indian Armed Forces. The training includes sessions on interview techniques, psychological testing, group tasks, personality development, and mock SSB simulations — all under the guidance of experienced trainers.
To be eligible for this course, candidates must fulfill any one of the following criteria:
Cleared the Combined Defence Services Exam (CDSE) or National Defence Academy Exam (NDA) conducted by UPSC and qualified for the SSB interview.
Hold an NCC ‘C’ Certificate with at least an ‘A’ or ‘B’ grade, along with a recommendation from the NCC Group Headquarters for SSB.
Possess an SSB call letter for the Technical Graduate Course (TGC).
Be shortlisted for an SSB interview under the University Entry Scheme (UES) or have a valid call letter for the same.
During the 10-day course, candidates will receive free training, accommodation, and meals. This initiative is open to both male and female candidates, and is especially significant for those who may not have access to formal coaching due to financial constraints.
Interested candidates from Pune district must appear for an interview on May 1, 2025, at the District Sainik Welfare Office, Pune. Prior to the interview, applicants must visit the official website www.mahasainik.maharashtra.gov.in, search for SSB-61 Course, download the admit card and required annexures, fill them out completely, and bring three printed copies along with original documents.
