The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, recognized as an Institute of National Importance and designated as an Institute of Eminence, has officially released Advertisement inviting online applications for various technical and administrative positions.
As per the recruitment notification, a total of 11 categories of posts are open across multiple pay levels, ranging from Level 3 to Level 10, offering salaries between ₹21,700 and ₹1,77,500 depending on the post.
List of Available Positions:
1. Technical Officer (Scale 1) – 3 Positions (ST, OBC-NCL, UR)
2. Student Counselor (Scale 1) – 1 Position (ST)
3. Junior Engineer – 2 Positions (OBC-NCL, EWS)
4. Technical Superintendent – 7 Positions (ST and Backlog for SC, ST, OBC-NCL)
5. Junior Mechanic – 2 Positions (OBC-NCL, UR)
6. Junior Sanitary Inspector – 1 Position (UR)
7. Editorial Assistant – 1 Position (UR)
Pay Scales by Position:
Technical Officer & Student Counselor – Pay Level 10: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
Junior Engineer & Technical Superintendent – Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
Junior Mechanic & Sanitary Inspector – Pay Level 3: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100
Editorial Assistant – Level EA4: ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100
The vacancies include reserved posts for Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes – Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Scheduled Castes (SC) as per Government of India norms.
