Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has officially launched the undergraduate admission process for the academic year 2025–26, offering over 1,300 seats across its main campus and affiliated departments. The university has announced that the entrance examination for select programs will be held online on May 15, 2025, marking the beginning of a competitive admission season.
This year’s admission cycle is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, under which SPPU is offering a diverse range of programs including traditional three-year degrees, newly introduced four-year honors programs, and five-year integrated courses. These options aim to provide flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and multiple exit pathways—allowing students to tailor their academic journey as per their interests and goals.
The online entrance test will assess students through objective-type questions covering subject-specific knowledge, general awareness, and logical reasoning. Admit cards for the exam will be available for download on the official SPPU website, and the results are expected by May 25, followed by counseling sessions and seat allotments in early June.
Students who have passed their Class 12 examinations are eligible to apply, though specific courses may have subject-based requirements. The application process is entirely online, with the last date to register set as May 13. The application fee ranges between ₹400 and ₹750, depending on the category and program. Reserved category students will receive benefits as per government norms, and international and NRI students will be considered under a separate quota.
SPPU has also introduced a dedicated helpdesk to assist applicants with registration issues, exam logistics, and course-related queries. With the entrance exam date approaching, the university has urged students to stay updated through the official website and prepare thoroughly for the test.
