Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has officially commenced its undergraduate admission process for the academic year. Entrance examinations for select undergraduate and integrated five-year programmes are scheduled to take place on May 15, and will be conducted online in a proctored format, enabling students to take the exams from the comfort of their homes.
Entrance tests are being held only for courses where demand exceeds available seats. These programmes are offered at the main Pune campus as well as at the Nashik and Ahilyanagar sub-centres.
According to Pro Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar, the university offers around 1,300 seats for undergraduate programmes and 150 seats for integrated five-year programmes. He urged students to select courses that align with their academic background and interests, and advised applicants to check the university’s official website for detailed information.
Courses and Seat Availability:
Four-year B.A. in Liberal Arts – 50 seats
B.Sc. in 3D Animation and VFX – 120 seats
B.Sc. in Data Science – 240 seats
B.Sc. in Blockchain Technology – 120 seats
Three-year BBA programmes – 40 to 60 seats each
B.Voc (Vocational Courses) in areas like Renewable Energy Skills, Retail Management, and Manufacturing Technology – 30 to 50 seats per course
Five-Year Integrated Programmes Include:
Integrated M.A. in Buddhist Studies
M.A. in Pali, Dance, Music, and Theatre
M.Sc. in Biotechnology
SPPU has officially opened the application window for these courses, and students are encouraged to apply at the earliest to avoid missing the deadline.
