CSIR-NML Recruitment 2025: Applications Invited for Junior Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant Posts Apply by May 30

New Delhi: The CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML), located in Burmamines, Jamshedpur, has announced a recruitment drive for various Group ‘C’ positions under Advertisement No. 02/2025. The laboratory, a premier R&D institution under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for Junior Stenographer and Junior Secretariat Assistant (General, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Purchase) posts.

The online application process began on May 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM and will remain open till May 30, 2025, up to 5:00 PM IST. Candidates can apply through the official website www.nml.res.in. For queries, a helpline (0657-2345158) and email support ([email protected]) have also been made available.

A total of 21 vacancies have been announced, out of which 08 posts are for Junior Stenographer (UR-05, EWS-01, SC-01, ST-01), and 13 posts for Junior Secretariat Assistant distributed among General (05), Finance & Accounts (04), and Stores & Purchase (04) categories. One post under the JSA category is reserved for ex-servicemen, while another is reserved for PwBD (Blind/Low Vision) candidates.

The educational qualification required for all posts is 10+2/XII or its equivalent. For stenographer posts, candidates must have proficiency in stenography as per DoPT norms. For JSA positions, candidates should have computer typing skills and knowledge of computer usage as per the standards prescribed by the Department of Personnel & Training.

Selected candidates for Junior Stenographer will be appointed in Level-4 of the 7th Pay Commission with a salary ranging from Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 (approx. Rs. 46,800 per month). For Junior Secretariat Assistants, the pay scale is Level-2, ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 (approx. Rs. 35,000 per month).

The upper age limit is 27 years for stenographers and 28 years for JSA posts, with age relaxations as per government norms.
