New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has released a revised tentative schedule for the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) of the Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) under Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2024. According to the latest notice issued by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), the CBT-1 examination will now be conducted from 5th June 2025 to 24th June 2025, spanning a total of 16 days.
In preparation for the examination, RRBs will activate the link for viewing exam city and date and downloading travel authority for SC/ST candidates approximately 10 days before the exam. Additionally, e-call letters (admit cards) will be available for download 4 days prior to the exam date specified in the exam city/date intimation link.
One of the major updates in this notification is the strict implementation of Aadhaar-based biometric verification at the exam centres. Candidates must carry either their original Aadhaar card or a printout of their e-verified Aadhaar. Those who have not yet completed the Aadhaar authentication process are advised to do so by logging in at www.rrbapply.gov.in. It is also important to ensure that Aadhaar remains in an unlocked state on the UIDAI system to avoid any inconvenience during verification.
Candidates are strongly advised to follow only the official RRB websites for accurate and timely updates regarding the recruitment process. The RRB has reiterated that selections are purely merit-based and conducted through computer-based testing. Aspirants should beware of touts or fraudulent agents making false promises of job placements in exchange for money.
The notification, dated 23rd May 2025, was issued by the Chairpersons of the Railway Recruitment Boards. With this announcement, the recruitment process moves one step closer to completion, providing a clear timeline for thousands of aspirants across the country.
