Mumbai : Tata Steel has officially announced the recruitment for Junior Engineer I (NL-D grade) positions for its Ludhiana Projects, inviting experienced diploma holders in various engineering streams. This recruitment, referenced as TAG/37/2025 dated 22/05/2025, offers a significant career opportunity for technically skilled professionals in the steel manufacturing sector.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a 3-year full-time Diploma in any of the following disciplines:
Electrical
Electronics
Instrumentation
Mechanical
Production
Metallurgical
Diploma must be from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutes or the following Tata institutions:
R.D. Tata Technical Education Centre, Jamshedpur
J.N. Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur
Tata Steel Technical Institute, Burmamines
Note: Part-time/Correspondence/Distance learning qualifications will not be accepted.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a steel plant or electric arc furnace plant is mandatory as of 1st May 2025.
Minimum Marks Required:
General category: 55% in Diploma
SC/ST/Female/Transgender/PwD: 50%
Age Limit:
General: Born on or after 1st May 1993
Reserved categories: Born on or after 1st May 1990
Salary & Benefits:
Selected candidates will start with a Basic Salary of Rs. 13,500 per month, with a CTC of Rs. 5.06 LPA.
Candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience will receive additional compensation as per Tata Steel norms.

2. Personal Interview (elimination stage)
3. Medical Fitness Test
4. Background Verification
