Trichy : In an inspiring milestone for inclusive education in India, S. Bharath, a 17-year-old tribal student from the remote Pachamalai hills in Tamil Nadu, has successfully cleared the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) — one of the country’s most competitive national-level entrance exams for law studies.

Bharath secured an All India ST Rank of 964, earning admission to the B.Com., LL.B. (Hons.) programme at Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), Tiruchirappalli, under the 7.5% government school student quota — a reservation policy designed to uplift students from government schools in Tamil Nadu.

His achievement has received wide recognition, including commendation from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who personally congratulated Bharath for his determination, hard work, and academic excellence. The Chief Minister also directed authorities to ensure that Bharath receives all necessary support to pursue his higher education without obstacles.

Coming from a tribal community and modest educational background, Bharath’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of access to quality education and affirmative policy. His success serves as motivation for thousands of government school students, especially from underprivileged and tribal regions, to dream big and pursue professional careers.
