New Delhi: The Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), a premier institute under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, has officially invited online applications for the engagement of 22 apprentices for the financial year 2025–26. The recruitment is being carried out under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and covers a wide range of trades including graduate, diploma, and ITI-level apprenticeships.
As per Advertisement No. DIPAS/HRD/APPR-01/2025-26, the available positions are divided into three major categories: Graduate Apprentices, Technician/Diploma Apprentices, and Trade Apprentices.
In the Graduate Apprentice category, there are a total of four openings — one each for Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Computer Science, and Electronics Engineering. These posts are open to candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree in the respective fields.
For Technician/Diploma Apprentices, six positions are available. These include two posts for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, two for Diploma in Computer Science, and one each for Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
The Trade Apprentice category includes a total of 12 positions across various skilled trades. These include one vacancy each for Plumber, Electrician, Painter (General), Carpenter, Mechanic (Automobile – Advanced Diesel Engine), Mechanic (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning), and Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), among others. Each trade is designated with a specific apprenticeship course code, as per norms set by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The stipend for selected candidates will be provided as per the Government of India’s guidelines mentioned in Gazette Notification No. G.S.R. 686(E) dated 25th September 2019.
