Hyderabad : The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced a six-month paid internship program for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering and Physical Sciences. The internship will be offered at the prestigious Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) and its associated missile labs – Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL) and Centre for Advanced Systems (CAS) located in Hyderabad.
As per Advertisement No. DRDL/HRD/PDINTERN/2025/01, the internship is open to Indian citizens who are currently in the final year of their graduate (Engineering) or postgraduate (Engineering/Science) studies. The program offers a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 and aims to provide hands-on research exposure in cutting-edge technologies related to missile systems and defence applications.
A total of 165 positions are available across various disciplines. These include:
Electronics, Communication, Embedded Systems, VLSI, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering – 58 positions
Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Production, Material, Safety, Instrumentation, Metallurgical, Ceramic Engineering – 75 positions
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and allied sciences – 8 positions
Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and allied disciplines – 24 positions
Students selected for the internship will get the opportunity to work under experienced DRDO scientists and contribute to national-level R&D projects in missile technology and strategic systems.
