Mumbai : A disturbing case has come to light from a reputed school in Dadar, Mumbai, where a 40-year-old female teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor student from Class 11. The Dadar Police have registered a case against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the Juvenile Justice Act, and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to police reports, the sexual abuse had been ongoing for over a year. During this period, the accused teacher allegedly took the student to multiple five-star hotels in South Mumbai and lodges near the airport, where she sexually exploited him. To ensure the victim’s silence, she reportedly administered anti-depressant drugs to him. The matter came to light after the student’s examinations, when the teacher sent her servant to meet him. Distraught, the student confided in his parents about the horrific ordeal, prompting them to file a complaint with the police, who swiftly arrested the accused.
The investigation is ongoing.Police revealed that the teacher coerced the student into consuming alcohol on several occasions before sexually assaulting him. She is currently in police custody, and further inquiries are underway. Over time, the student’s behavior began to change, which raised concerns among his parents. Upon speaking with him, they learned about the abuse. However, with only a few months left for the student to complete his schooling, the family initially chose to remain silent, hoping the teacher would stop.The police have seized the teacher’s mobile phone, which contains chats, hotel bookings, and other digital evidence corroborating the allegations. The case has sent shockwaves through the community, raising serious concerns about student safety in educational institutions.
