Pune :The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has finally begun the much-awaited admission process for the first year of the B.Sc Nursing course for the academic year 2025–26. After a delay of more than six weeks post result declaration, students and parents who were growing increasingly anxious have now received clarity with the release of the official admission schedule.
This year, more than 47,000 students had registered for the CET held in April, and over 43,000 appeared for the exam. The results were declared in May, but the absence of admission details led to confusion among aspirants. Now, the CET Cell has opened the online application window, and students can apply and confirm their applications by July 17. All required documents must be scanned in color and uploaded to the official portal — www.mahacet.org — before the deadline.
Candidates have been strictly advised to carefully read the instructions before submitting their forms, as incorrect or incomplete information may lead to cancellation of admission. The CET Cell also emphasized that all documents should be uploaded before the final date for verification.
Across Maharashtra, a total of 247 nursing colleges — comprising 12 government and 235 private institutes — are offering 13,420 seats for the B.Sc Nursing course this year. Out of these, 900 seats are in government colleges, while private institutes offer around 12,520 seats.
Once the application window closes, the CET Cell will announce the full schedule for counselling and seat allotment rounds on its official website. Students are advised to stay alert for further announcements and complete the application process without delay.
With the process now underway, students can begin securing their seats in one of Maharashtra’s many nursing colleges and look forward to a career in healthcare.
