Pune : Pune, brace yourselves! The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is finally kicking off its long-awaited Junior Engineer (Class-3) recruitment process, and this time the exams will be handled by none other than IBPS, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
The process had hit pause earlier due to technical hiccups, but now all systems are a go. In the previous round, a whopping 27,879 candidates applied. However, many faced heartbreak after being declared ineligible because their age limit had expired. Thanks to state government intervention, these candidates are getting a second shot.

Adding spice to the story, applicants were also allowed to correct their caste category details. The civic body first set August 30 as the deadline, but after pressure, it was extended to September 12. By then, 4,499 candidates had managed to update their reservation status.
The official recruitment advertisement drops next week, kicking off the online application frenzy. PMC has promised complete transparency and a merit-only process, stressing that all the earlier technical glitches have been ironed out.
Candidates across Pune are on edge, waiting for the notification. The administration has dropped a friendly warning: keep your documents ready, stay alert, and apply fast once the portal opens.
The countdown to PMC’s Junior Engineer exam is on, and this time, the stakes are higher than ever.
