Pune: A touching story from Pune has been winning hearts across social media after a young software engineer shared how Sachin Tendulkar’s charitable work reshaped his academic journey. In a heartfelt post on X, Kshitij Vaze detailed how the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) stepped in during a time when pursuing engineering seemed financially out of reach.
Vaze revealed that nearly half of his tuition fees were taken care of by STF, which supports promising students from economically weaker families. Explaining his eligibility, he wrote that his strong CET performance, combined with his family’s limited income, allowed him to apply for the foundation’s support.
The scholarship came with academic expectations: Vaze needed to maintain a CGPA above 8. Reflecting on his efforts, he shared that he completed his degree with an 8.12 CGPA — just enough to keep the scholarship active until the end of his course.
He also recalled how life began improving after his sixth semester, when he secured an internship that helped him fund his daily expenses. Still, he believes his dream of becoming an engineer would have remained unfulfilled “without God himself helping me out” through the foundation’s timely support.
Adding to the emotional moment, Vaze shared that he had been invited to a felicitation ceremony for students graduating with distinction. “I’m pretty sure I’m going to cry today, lads,” he wrote, expressing his gratitude and excitement.
Vaze also posted a 2025 letter from STF — once a promise of hope, now a reminder of how far he has come.
