Pune : Savitribai Phule Pune University has failed in the evaluation of 13 non-agricultural universities in the state conducted by the State Higher and Technical Education Department. Pune University is at the last position in this evaluation, while Gondwana University has secured the first position.
Mumbai University and Shivaji University have secured a place behind it. However, looking at the scores in this evaluation, it is seen that the universities have turned their backs on meeting the criteria.
The Higher and Technical Education Department has released a report in this regard. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: Service Condition Program, Service Entry Rules, Publication of updated seniority list, Status of appointment by promotion, Status of direct service appointment vacancies, Point List authentication, Compassionate appointment, Registration on IGOT portal and completion of five courses, Updating and digitizing the service books of all employees.
Among the public universities in the state, Gondwana University in Gadchiroli topped the rankings with the highest score of 68. While Mumbai University and Shivaji University in Kolhapur scored 66 points each.
Sant Gadgebaba University in Amravati scored 62, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University in Nashik scored 60, S. N. D. T. Women’s University in Mumbai scored 57, Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathwada University in Nanded scored 56, Punyashloka Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University scored 54, Kavi Kolaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University in Ramtek scored 52 each, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University in Nagpur scored 52, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Aurangabad scored 50, and Kavayittri Bahinabai Chaudhary Uttar Maharashtra University in Jalgaon scored 48.
Savitribai Phule Pune University is at the bottom with 42 points. Pune University has received zero marks out of 10 in three categories: Aakritibandh, registration on IGOT portal and completion of 5 courses, and updating and digitizing the service books of employees.
Universities have received zero marks…
On the criterion of Aakritibandh, only Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University has received ten marks, while all the other universities have received zero marks. While in registration on IGOT portal and completion of 5 courses, S. N. D. T. Mahila University has received one mark, Gondwana University has received two marks, and all the other universities have received zero marks.
