Pune : During the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), all examinees working in the examination will be ‘frisked’ with the help of metal detectors while entering the examination center.
To prevent malpractices during the examination, the Maharashtra State Examination Council has taken these measures to ensure that no student carries electronic devices like mobiles, smart watches, calculators. The State Examination Council has emphasized on strict measures this year to prevent malpractices in the ‘TET’ examination.
The Maharashtra State Examination Council has organized the ‘Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test’ on Sunday (23). The exam will be held at 1,423 centers at the district headquarters in 37 districts of the state. A total of 4 lakh 75 thousand 669 students have registered for the exam, of which 2 lakh 3 thousand 334 have registered for the first paper and 2 lakh 72 thousand 335 for the second paper.
CCTV cameras have been installed in every classroom and area at 571 centers for paper one and 852 centers for paper two. Every examinee will be screened with a hand-held metal detector at the entrance to the center. Their biometrics will be taken. Face recognition of every examinee will be done, informed the Chairman of the Examination Council, Dr. Nandkumar Bedse.
Dr. Nandkumar Bedse, Chairman, Examination Council said that the ‘Photo View’ system will be used to verify the photographs, names and identity of the students appearing for the examination, while hotline phones will be available at each examination center director, examination control room and state examination council room. Through this, the concerned will be contacted as per the requirement, the ‘Connect View’ system will be used during the examination this year.
