The State CET Cell has taken an important decision for students taking admission in professional courses. In order to ensure accurate information of students and to make it easy to verify them, Apar ID will be made mandatory while registering for CET.
Due to this, this 12-digit number will be mandatory for every student applying for CET in the next academic year while registering. Registration for CET for professional courses of the next academic year is likely to start by the end of December.
In order to ensure that the educational progress of every student from school to higher education is recorded in detail, the Ministry of Education of the Central Government has launched the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID. With this 12-digit Apar ID, complete and detailed information about the student’s credit scores, mark sheets, degrees, scholarships and awards is immediately available. This ID has been made mandatory for all students for education.
During CET registration, students often fill in incorrect information by mistake. Due to which many problems arise during the actual admission process. To avoid these problems and bring transparency in the registration process, the CET cell has decided to make Apar ID mandatory. This will be implemented from the upcoming academic year. With Apar ID, the complete educational details of the students will be available to the CET cell while they are registering their applications. Since Apar ID and Aadhaar are being linked in schools, this decision will make it easier to verify the authenticity of the student.
