Mumbai : The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra, has officially declared the CAP Round 1 allotment results for admissions into diploma-level polytechnic courses for the academic year 2025–26. This is a crucial phase in the centralized admission process that determines seat allocation across government, aided, and private unaided polytechnic institutes in the state.
Students who had registered and completed their choice filling for CAP Round 1 can now check their allotment status on the official portal: poly25.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
Allotted candidates must confirm their seats between July 12 and July 15, 2025, by reporting to their respective institutes and completing the admission formalities. Failure to confirm the allotted seat within the given time frame will result in cancellation, and such candidates will only be eligible for further rounds depending on availability.
The DTE has also clarified that the schedule and guidelines for CAP Round 2 will be released shortly after the completion of Round 1 admissions. Candidates who did not receive a seat in this round or wish to upgrade can participate in the next round after revising their preferences.
The centralized admission process (CAP) ensures transparency, fairness, and merit-based allocation of diploma seats across Maharashtra. The polytechnic stream remains a strong career path for students aspiring to enter the technical workforce or pursue lateral engineering admissions.
