Mumbai : The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially released the provisional general merit list for first-year engineering degree admissions on Saturday evening. This marks a crucial milestone in the Maharashtra CAP (Centralized Admission Process) for the academic year 2024–25.
Record Number of Applications This Year
This year has seen a record-breaking surge in applications for engineering admissions. A total of 2,02,784 students from Maharashtra have applied, compared to 1,92,398 applications last year, indicating a significant rise in interest towards engineering programs. Additionally, the All India Merit List includes 2,13,556 students, showing a notable response from candidates outside the state as well.
Six Toppers with Perfect 100 Percentile in PCM
Among the applicants, six students have secured a perfect 100 percentile in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group of the MHT-CET exam. These six students occupy the top six ranks in the state merit list. Their inclusion underlines the intense competition and high level of academic excellence among aspirants this year.
