Mumbai, April 13 – The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has once again proven its standing as a top management institute by achieving 100% placement for the Class of 2025. The placement season saw a significant increase in both the number of recruiters and average salary packages, marking a successful transition for the institute after being rebranded from NITIE to IIM Mumbai.
A total of 198 companies participated in this year’s placement drive, with over 40 new recruiters joining the process. This led to a 10% increase in job offers compared to last year, providing students with a wider and more diverse set of career opportunities.
The highest domestic package offered this year was ₹47.5 lakh per annum, while the average salary for the top 20% of the batch stood at an impressive ₹41.2 lakh per annum. The overall average package also saw a notable jump, indicating a healthy demand for IIM Mumbai graduates.
Sector-wise, the consulting domain dominated the placement landscape, witnessing a 28.92% increase in recruitment. The pharmaceutical and healthcare sector saw a dramatic 130% rise in offers, while retail and e-commerce registered a 47.73% increase in hiring.
Top recruiters included Accenture, which made 41 offers with an average package of ₹45.37 lakh per annum, PwC India with 18 offers, and PwC US Advisory with 10. Other major players spanned across sectors such as technology, FMCG, manufacturing, and BFSI.
Professor Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, attributed this success to the institute’s revamped curriculum and focus on future-ready skills. “The successful transition to IIM Mumbai and our strategic focus on areas like digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and analytics have made our students more competitive in today’s job market,” he said.
As IIM Mumbai continues to strengthen its global reputation, this year’s placement results reaffirm its position as a leading business school shaping the future of Indian management professionals.
