Pune Police Issue Warning Over MPSC Protests Urge Students to Follow Constitutional Methods

Pune: Police have taken a clear stance regarding the ongoing protests by MPSC aspirants in the city. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sandeep Singh Gill has appealed to students to protest through constitutional means and issued a stern warning that strict action will be taken against anyone misusing the agitation for personal gain.

Over the past few days, MPSC aspirants have been holding protests at various times. Addressing the issue, DCP Gill said, “We have no objection to protests held in a constitutional manner. However, our intelligence reports suggest that some coaching class operators are allegedly encouraging students to protest for their own benefit. While students are free to voice their demands, if someone is taking undue advantage of the situation, legal action will be taken against them.”

He also mentioned that in the past, students had protested for various demands, some of which were accepted by the authorities. However, the police force’s primary duty is to maintain law and order, and hence, a preliminary investigation into the matter has already been initiated.
