New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) is soon expected to release the official notification for the recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBOs) for the year 2025. This highly anticipated recruitment drive will offer thousands of aspirants across the country a chance to secure managerial roles in India’s largest public sector bank. With over 5,000 vacancies expected—based on previous recruitment cycles—this announcement has already generated considerable buzz in the banking and education sectors.
Candidates aged between 21 to 30 years with a graduate degree and at least two years of experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank will be eligible to apply. Proficiency in the local language of the applied circle will be essential, although those who studied the language in their 10th or 12th are exempted from the language test.
The selection process will include:
An Online Written Test assessing reasoning, English language, banking knowledge, and general awareness.
A screening of applications to ensure eligibility and experience.
A final interview round to assess the candidate’s suitability for the role.
The CBO post offers a starting basic pay of ₹36,000 in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I, along with allowances such as HRA, DA, CCA, and medical benefits, bringing the overall compensation package to a competitive level.
