Mumbai : The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), India’s largest power distribution utility, has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Additional Executive Engineer (Distribution and Civil) under Advertisement No. 02/2025. The announcement was made on June 27, 2025.
With over 2.70 crore consumers, a workforce of more than 81,000 employees, and an annual revenue exceeding ₹1,00,000 crore, MSEDCL plays a crucial role in Maharashtra’s power infrastructure. The company is now inviting applications from qualified, dynamic, and result-oriented professionals to join its team and contribute to the growth of the state’s power sector.
MSEDCL has announced a total of 94 vacancies for the post of Additional Executive Engineer (Distribution). These vacancies are spread across various categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Vimukta Jati (VJ-A), Nomadic Tribes (NT-B, NT-C, NT-D), Special Backward Class (SBC), Other Backward Class (OBC), Socially and Economically Backward Class (SEBC), and Open category.
Out of the total 94 vacancies, 31 posts are reserved for women, 4 for persons with disabilities (PwD), 3 for meritorious sportspersons, and 1 for orphans. The horizontal reservation for PwD includes 2 posts for candidates with hearing disabilities (not more than 70 dB with hearing aids) and 2 posts for candidates with physical disabilities such as OA/OL/OAL, cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, or acid attack victims.
In addition, 5 posts have been announced for Additional Executive Engineer (Civil). These include similar horizontal reservations, with one post each reserved for women, PwD candidates, sportspersons, and orphans. PwD candidates are eligible under the same disability categories as mentioned for the Distribution posts.
This recruitment is a part of MSEDCL’s ongoing efforts to bring in skilled engineers to strengthen the company’s technical team and ensure efficient power distribution across Maharashtra.
